I wanted to post this as soon as we WON the match but was so overwhelmed and ecstatic that it took me sometime to come out of it...........
April 2, 2011 - history repeats itself after 28 years...
Wow wow wow what a match...........as mentioned in my earlier post........we were all set to watch the match and it was going on fine.........was so upset when both Sehwag and Tendulkar got out.........so was telling my hubby may be it is just luck.......lets not watch it then they will play better- so we were just opening other pages in order to not see them playing...whether that did the trick or not I really donot know...we didnot see for like a few overs and they were already playing well after which we weren't able to control ourselves.We decided to chuck the luck (good pun!!) and then started watching again they started playing very well and was a treat watching them play.
On the last over it was so nice to watch them play with so much of a confidence and the final ball Sixer by Dhoni is still fresh in my memory....I was all tears and happy and feeling crazy but enjoyed every moment and was so happy for India and proud to be an Indian. I didnot see the world cup final in 1983 so was so glad to be present to watch this final.....and the moments after the win was so emotional for all the players and us...waiting for more such moments to come.
Since we saw the whole match on the web didnot get to see the God of cricket being carried by all his teammates and the team holding the World Cup. I was a bit upset that though I saw pictures wasnot able to see it so my husband spent like a few hours to hunt down that video and played it for me the next day, I was so happy...Thanks hubby...:)
